COMMUNITY LIFE

Connect With Others and Grow In Christ

WHY DO GROUPS MATTER?

We believe life is better when it's lived in community. Whether you're discussing the weekend message, connecting over shared interests, or serving alongside others, CCO Life groups are a place to build meaningful relationships and grow in your faith together.
Community Life FAQs
What is a Community Group?
Community groups are people-driven. These groups are often but not always built with a specific community in mind — maybe it's seniors navigating the challenges of that season of life, business leaders trying to honor God in their work, or men who want a space to be honest about their struggles. Or it might be an intergenerational collection of believers who want to be in community, helping to make a big church feel smaller.  Either way, the primary goal is connection, authenticity, and doing life together over the long haul, figuring out what it looks like to Follow Jesus Together.  They often use a study or sermon-based discussion as a launching point, but the relationships are the point. Because authentic community requires trust and safety, these groups tend to stay intentionally smaller.
What is a Bible Study?
Bible studies are study-driven. A group might work through a six-week study on prayer, then move into a twelve-week series on a book of the Bible. The Word is the anchor, and community grows naturally out of studying it together and praying for and encouraging one another as they discuss what it really looks like to live out what the Bible says.
Bible studies tend to be open to anyone and don't have a size limit — the more the merrier.
What is the difference between a Community Group & Bible Study?
Bible studies lead with the Word and community grows from there. Community groups lead with the people and the Word guides that. Both are a great place to start.

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Proverbs 27:17

To walk with Jesus is to take daily steps to grow in your relationship with Him.  That’s not something that can be done alone.  The best way to do that at Community Church is through Community Groups; connecting with other people to do life together, developing meaningful relationships, discussing Scripture and finding accountability.

Community Groups are communities of faith bringing faith to their communities that spend time investing in three relationships: with God through study and prayer, with each other through group activities and fellowship, and with their communities to be the hands and feet of Jesus to their neighbors.

We have a wide variety of Community Groups that meet at different times and locations, but they’re all designed to help you develop significant relationships with others who can encourage and challenge you to Love your Church and Love your Community.
